Who brought you into snowboarding?
I brought myself into snowboarding because I loved to skate and when winter came around I wanted to keep skating. I think I was like 8 years old and my mom took my skiing for the first time and I took about one run before I saw the light (snowboarding) and begged my mom for a board for like a year and finally she gave in and I'm still riding.

Have you given him any thanks for his influence?
Who my mom? Yea dude she's the best, thanks to anyone who has helped me out I've never forgot those people.

Who was your local hero?
My parents have always been my hero...not some kid who could land a 540. They kept a roof over my head and food on my plate and raised me right, I can't think of anyone better to have as a role model.

Where and when was your first snowboardpic published?
I remember this one, Jeff Potto was the photographer and we had a frontside halfpipe air that was run in Transworld about 5 years ago.

What trick was it? did you land it?
It was a frontside indy in the halfpipe. Stomped.

Where was your first video appearence with what music(local snowboardmovie...)?
Yea it was a local Colorado movie when I was 17 I had a part with them. I think the movie was called "Just kidding but seriously" a movie by role model productions. I had some music I never chose, but whatever it was still dope.

How did you get your first sponsor?
Easy I just stomped like every 1080 when I was 11..haha. Naw seriously I won some local contests for a couple years and podiumed at nationals in pipe and slope and Salomon approached me in there 2nd year as a snowboard company and I've been fortunate enough to be with such a dope brand since.

Would you still ride as much as you can, if no one would support you (no sponsors, no filmers and photographers) ?
For sure I would, I'd probably be riding more because there wouldn't be so many down days with weather or traveling. I'd be in Breckenridge lapping the park when there wasn't pow around with all my close friends. Getting a paycheck doesn't change the fact I love snowboarding just as much as I did when I was 8, I want to ride as long as possible...I freak out if I havn't snowboarded in a couple days!

What is your favourite moment on the mountain?
Really I can't keep track of that I have so many fun days none are "better" then another, there just different.

What is the worst time during the time on the mountain?
Havn't had a "worst time" on the mountain.

How important is the time on the mountain for you?
I guess as important as chocolate is to Oprah...she loves that shit!

How important is music for you on a snowboard movie?
It's really important...sometimes I watch such a sick part and the music completely wrecked it for whatever reason. Music is huge...just like personality. I don't want to watch a skaters part if there the most bland dude on earth.

Beeing in the nature: 100%

I don't do anything with a certain percentage rating...I don't half ass anything.

How did you get in contact with the PiRATE project?
My roomate Mike Casanova got in contact with Pirates and Basti decided to put me on.

How important is it for you to be a part of it?
Be a part of what? Pirates? It's dope I mean I made a lot of good friends this year and have respect for all you dudes.
