Who brought you into snowboarding? Have you given him any thanks for his influence?

The older skate buddies from back home snowboarded already. When my aunt, who has a sport store, gave me a snowboard for christmas in 92, i had to try that out immediatly. She still gets postcards from all my trips, but not only cause she influenced me back then...

Who was your local hero?

In Brambrüesch, where i learned to ride, there is no park, no scence and also not really local heros. Still there where some random guys from Chur coming up sometimes and it always pushed me seeing them doing sick slope jib tricks and some 360's. Later when i went to school in Davos, i got to ride the pipe together with gian simmen, and that really stoked me out as well.

Where and when was your first snowboardpic published? What trick was it? did you land it?

I think that was in 2000 in the swiss mag "the box". It was a bs 5 on a park jump during a team shooting. Landed!

Where was your first video appearence with what music (local snowboardmovie...)?

In 24 crew's "captured" with Mu and all the rest of the twofour-crew. I had NOFX "dinosaurs will die" for my part.

How did you get your first sponsor?

With some connection help. Actually a teacher at school knew this guy from Davos who's working at Salomon, all about vitamin "C"...and i applied with dossiers for some other sponsors.

Would you still ride as much as you can, if no one would support you (no sponsors, no filmers and photographers)?

For sure still as much as i can, but with focusing a little more on the days with good conditions. And i sure would like to do more winter surf trips!

What is your favourite moment on the mountain?

I always like the first run to check out the snow. and i love the feeling to get ready to drop into a fun run that you know it's gonna be good!

What is the worst time during the time on the mountain?

Get shut down by the weather, waiting for sun windows...in general, waiting time on the mountain sucks!

How important is the time on the mountain for you?

being in the mountains or on the mountain is really important to get the balance to all the traveling and being with a lot of people in hectic cities.

How important is music for you on a snowboardmovie?

It can really make a movie, or fuck it up. I think music and the right editing to it is really important.

Favourite videopart, ever:

There are many different ones over the last couple years that i really like, but they are not comparable to each other. I always like to see travis parker's parts though...

Why?

It's always different, technical, creative and reflects a lot of fun...

Give me your percentage of importance of the following factors to go snowboarding:

Beeing in the nature: 100%
Having a good time with your friends: 100%
Doing your job: 10%

How did you get in contact with the PiRATE project?

Fichtl lost a bet against me and owed me a case of rum. So i needed to find a couple pirates to help me drink them...so thanks to fichtl for loosing the bet and bringing me in contact with the crew!

How important is it for you to be a part of it?

I'm actually still getting to know new people in the crew, as it's my first year with the pirates. I really like to be in that ship and actually feel like i've been there for a while already...arrrrghhh!

Credits:

This one goes especially to basti and all the pirates plus my sponsors to make this happen and give me the opportunity to be with such a sick crew!
