a sunny day with Mu

Yeaya people, i just got back from a really nice day up in Kühtai, where Danny and Kalle found this sweet spot for a backcountry hip right aside of the road. On top of that they've already build the hip, pretty much ready to go, a couple days before on a bad weather day. So i just rolled into Innsbruck the night before, didn't even had to shovel a little bit and was on my way to the spot the next morning. Doesn't really get any better then that! Thanks for digging guys, i owe you a couple beers for sure! So Carlos picked me up around 9.00 and after a quick stop at the bakery we arrived at the scene about 20min later. Right away the media crew, consisting of Flo, Ludschi and Carlos, got their cameras out of their backpacks and started looking for angels to shoot from. Shortly after, Kalle went for the first try and stomped it smooth into the sweet spot of the landing, the session was on! Next rider to drop was Danny, who pulled one of the biggest Bs Airs i've seen in a long time on his first try and already turned the day into a really good day. The session went on for quite a while before we decided to have a little lunch brake and reshape the landing so we would be ready to have another couple of tries while sunset. Flo and Ludschi also brought a ladder with them that day so they could go for a little more unique angles then normally when we're somewhere far out in the backcountry. After a couple more really entertaining moments with Dimitry, which you have somehow quite a lot when you're out shooting with "the russian rocket", everybody was getting ready again for some more air time. The cameras were ready, the light was beautiful, a couple "drop in's" more and we could call it a day and pack up our stuff. All in all it was another awesome day shooting with the Pirates, nice weather, good spot, nobody got hurt and we even ended up with a couple of shots for the new movie dropping, at the Pirates premiere near you, next fall!
Oh yeah...Danny and i even had a little photo battle going on, unfortunately i can't really remember who took which photos and half of them were taken by one of Danny's Holga's and therefore need to be developed first, we'll poste them another day...anyway, check out the photos! have fun!
