Camp of Champions Pt. 2
We had a PIMP house to stay in courtesy of COC, frequently visited by young bears but that's what you have to expect in Whistler... Don't feed them!
After a random party night in Whistler (there are lots of these...) Pirate Jocki decided (still drunk) to go to the skate park for a shredd, undoubtedly this was a bad idea because he ended up breaking his leg which put him out for the rest of the week. Silly boy!
Another afternoon after a day on the glacier we had a game of paintball!!! Pirates vs. Campers!!! When we realized that wasn't fair because they were all little kids so we split up between teams. During the game we were visited by at least 5 bears.. (narrowly avoiding bullets...), the painballs skin is a sun flower oil based substance, so once the paint has burst out of the paintball the bears enjoy feasting on these not caring about the 20 or so kids on the field waiting the battle.
The night shoot went off! Everyone was sendin' it... The Transworld crew were up with us as well shooting on the big corner at the bottom of the park and we had the triple kicker line and the T-bar all to ourselves.. nice! The light was amazing, everyone sent it and no injuries... pretty epic session if you ask me.
We left the mountain that night around 11 pm, bearing in mind it takes about an hour to get back down from the night shoot because you have to drive most of the way. We got home, showered as fast as possible to make it to the last party of the week for at least one drink seeing as ALL the bars in Whistler close at 2am... But we made it and partie we did!
Hungover flight the next day? Oh yes great fun!
