On the 31st of October it was time for our first Premierestopp in Italy. The city I was heading to was Florence. I left Innsbruck in a warm puffy jacket because it was close to 0 degrees. When I was driving over the Brennerpass there was heavy snowfall already. But I had to drive 5 hours and I was hoping it would be a bit warmer down south: Meanwhile I put my stereo on maximal volume and listened to my five our mp3 mix I just burned for that trip. I am a Reggae dj but on that trip I mostly listen to Rock and Heavy Metal, I guess because it kept me awake because I already had two parties the nights before. Or it was the Italian mood, which swept over me.
Nevertheless after a nice drive I finally arrived at the Switch Snow and Skate shop in Florence for the Meet&Greet before the premiere. We had a few beers and nice Italian sandwiches with Lorenzo, the Shopowner. Lukas Goller was there too with me representing the pirate crew. We also had the honour of the Giacomo and Filippo Gratter who came down with the whole Iuter crew. So it looked like it would become a funny night.
So after a few beers we all went to the bar were the premiere was taking place. The bar was in the middle of Florence and this city is really beautiful. There are really beautiful old buildings and crazy churches and stuff. Definitely worth it just to visit the city. The bar was really nice too. It had wonderful paintings on the ceiling with huge cultural value. I had my vinyl bag with me because Lorenzo told me it would be cool if I could play a little bit on the premiere but actually I happened to be the only dj for the night. Luckily the dj set was right at the bar which meant I could still do a bit of conversation with the Italian massive. Then about half past twelve it was time for the movie. And as you might know the Italians are also called Tifosi, which meant when Luki Gollers part came on, the bar went wild. Screaming all around. Later on I spoke to a few guys at the bar and they told me that in Italy everybody knows Luki. So with Giacomo and Fillipo and him, the top Italian rider were present.
The cool thing for me was that the bar closed at two o clock. That meant for me I could stop djing and socialise a bit at the Afterparty. Well at this time of the hour I better keep the stories for myself. But I can tell you one thing, I woke up the next morning in my car after three hours of sleep. But my mind was really happy because it was blue sky and I was ready to drive to the sea and hang out at the beach. Well, just check out the pics and you see how it was…..your fault if you didn’t come… hehehe
