Josh Sherman in Quebec
This winter the Pirates sent a crew that consisted of myself (Josh Sherman), Mike Casanova, Kalle Ohlsson and 2 filmers Justin and Justin to Quebec City, Canada for a 10 day rail trip. We all decided to meet in Burlington, VT in the states. We copped a rental van and drove up to Canada. Customs was cool and we went straight to Quebec City and quickly realized this trip was going to be special. Quebec had more snow then they had seen in 20 years, at every turn there's a beautiful babe, and the food was insane. We stayed at a hotel called the Ozone, which coincidentally is also one of the best clubs of Quebec so some of the filmers handled partying and filming but the riders stayed focused. We didn't waste time, we met with local Max B. and we got busy on known features to warm up, and get some tricks dialed and stepped it up to some new features that had never been done before. Me and Kalle had a session where we jumped a 4 story roof over a gap and landed in a pile of snow, that was our highlight film wise. We got straight airs the first day and came back to spin off it the next morning and after I got a frontside 180 Kalle was up to jump...as soon as Kalle yelled drop a filmer yelled WAIT!! We realize the cops were waiting for us at the bottom to kick us out. They weren't messin around so we left. Those shots were so hard to get, people stopped us constantly and told us to leave...workers were trying to step in front of us, but we knew these shots were cruicial. They couldn't stop us unless the cops showed up was our attitude!!! Everyone got shots, Casanova a.k.a SO DEEP got tricks on rails I'm not sure if they've ever been filmed before. Kalle a.k.a THE HAIRLESS SWEDISH WONDER was gettin shots and I was happy with how the crew worked and had a good time too. Sick trip, I can't wait to wait to go back.
