Londonisity with Tyler and Fabia
Wednesday Oct 23 we entered the Big Smoke aka London!
After a few days of wondering around at the Metro Ski Show promoting Overseas, we made our way to the LG Freeze Event in Battersea for the weekend. Another FIS Big Air contest going down with lots of questionable style. The event brought all kinds of Shredfaces together, including Danny Kass, Scotty Lago and Dingo’s Entourage from the States, Trouble Team Finland, Swiss Massive and the general FIS Circus.
Unfortunately, one of our Pirates walked the Plank :-( Grilo showed off the biggest and smoothest FS 1080 that ended with a gnarly scorpion at the bottom of the transition. Sadly, he was taken away with the ambulance with a serious hip injury. Hope he gets well soon….
All in all, the event was pretty damn sweet, lots of booz and good live acts, including our friend Trouble Andrew. Thanks to Perruche all the Riders and VIP’s felt better than at home. Cypress Hill summed the whole event up with a banging set.
But it wasn’t yet the hour for bed; it was time for the first UK Pirate Premiere just a few blocks down the street at the Halo Bar! The word on the street was: It’s the place to be! In no time, the place was full with familiar faces and the UK crowed was very impressed by Overseas. Lots of drinking and dribbling occurred. Pettu who won the contest set his 10% at the bar and the trouble Team Finland went all in.
A really fun night and another new premier stop to tick of the list!
A Big Thank You to Stew and Ash at Peruche!!!
