New Years in Helsinki

So after gaining 2 kilos over x-mas it was time to loose some wheight, and what better way to do it then go to Helsinki on a 6 days slim down trip!?

I arrived in Helsinki on the 27th of December, and Teo Konttinen as sweet as he is was kind enough to come to the airport and pick me up. We went back to his moms appartment were we stayed for the trip. Had some x-mas food left overs, Teo mad some phone calls to hook us up with his brothers minivan, generator, lights etc. Later at night we picked up Maurino our filmer at the airport, went back home again, had some mooooore food and then the shooting was on. We hit our first rail until like 5 in the morning, and it would have been even later if we did´t have the help from Teo´s brothers! Thanks alot dudes!

Day after we were of course pretty beat, until we found Teos x-mas gift, a Silvester Stallone dvd box, he straight away turned in to our role model for the trip giving us power and streght to continuing shooting for 5 more days! Thanks Stallone, your the man!

We hit some different nice rails and spots, and we even had mr Juuso Laivisto joining in on some spots showing that he can also ride rails! Then new years eve turned up, we hit a spot during the day, finnishing around 7 pm, then went straight home to shower, still didn´t have a plan for the night... Luckily one of Teo's brothers (he has a lot of brothers, in fact 4!!!) hooked us up with some tickets to a fancy pantsy place, we had a few drinks and alot of fun. After the party we had a huge mission to go back home again, taxi didn´t work, too many people out, no more trains, so after along time in the cold we found a bus that took us home! We went to bed sleeping, Teo woke up out of his sleep by puking all over himself, his bed, carpet and my board bag! Thanks Teo now I brought home a piece of you...

After new years eve I hit my last spot, a sick ass down rail, session went ok, but me Teo and Maurino was pretty tired from the day before so it didn´t really go great...

Now it was time to fly back home for me after a sick trip, but this was the turning point for me with the sickness, Teo TOTALY missed the exit to the airport, I missed the flight, had to buy a new ticket for 250 euros and it left 8 h later. When I got to Stockholm they had lost my board bag, so I also missed the last train and had to rent a car, since I had to go back home re-pack and fly the day after out to Austria... Not so stoked on that travel day! But remember folks, after rain comes sunshine, so I´m hoping that I have blue bird ahead of me now!

ohhh almost forgot. There was a gnarly shooting at a big shopping mall close to were we were staying, and we were actually in the same shop 2 days before as the shooting was. Crazy stuff, some guy shot 5 people and then killed himself. Stoked we were not there that day!! To all of those who got shoot, R.I.P.
