Sonnenkopf
When you grow up in Vorarlberg, your choices are almost unlimited where you want to be a local. I chose Silvretta Nova and the Montafon region, got a season pass year after year and was stoked on that. But last week I went to Sonnenkopf with Elias, Tyler and Flo and that changed my point of view after all. This resort features everything a backcountry snowboard heart is beating for: pillow lines, lots of freeride terrain and quite a few kicker landings. It's situated close to the Arlberg region and has an easy access by car and bus. Maybe it would have changed my history of getting to know Fichtl on the Montafon slopes, still i had the feeling that i missed out big times in all those years not riding at Sonnenkopf. Already "Overseas" features a few shots from this resort, like Gigi's double cork and Tyler's triple front flip attempt. For the next year's movie you can expect some decent shots again that are filmed in my home country Voralberg, in my new favourite resort Sonnenkopf.
