Hans and Björn win prices at Transition Winter Awards!



Friday 20th of November Sweden’s finest actionsport mag, Transition Magazine rolled out the red carpet and welcomed the Swedish elite to their Winter Awards 2009. Three riders from each category had been nominated for the success from the past season.



The first category out was Railripper and the price was given to Pirates own Hans Åhlund thanks to a amazing part in Jolly Roger and his imaginative vision of snowboarding that impresses us time after time.



Björn Hartweger was nominated for Big Mountain Rider Of The Year together with no other then Björn Lindgren and Johan Olofsson.
With the motivation “The combination of happiness and full speed in the powder shows how snowboarding on big mountains looks like 2009. If you grow up in powder the result cannot be anything else but a powder hero of rank”, the price went to Björn Hartweger!



Beating two big names like Lindgren and Olofsson in this category is not a small thing for sure!



Rider Of The Year was given to our good friend Chris Sörman, thanks to his representing of Sweden around the globe with both good contest results and coverage in magazines and movies internationally.
