After being chased out of Folgefonna by fog and "snain" (a mixture of snow and rain), Gigi and I hit the road, heading north towards Alesund, Norway. Our plan was to meet with the Nike snowboarding crew there and then travel by boat to a park shoot in Stranda.
The boat ride through the fjord that snakes into Stranda was one of the highlights of the trip. The boys tried their hand at fishing and Gigi walked the plank - but my point and shoot battery was toast so you'll have to wait to see the 16mm footage for that.
At Stranda we got one good day to check things out but warm conditions had taken their toll on the snow so we were limited to the park jumps and some mini shred options nearby. Needless to say, the backdrop for the park shoot was phenomenal and some of Nike's finest - were sending it on the top jump. Unfortunately the double line that I was excited to shoot Gerome and Gigi on didn't really come together during our short time there.
Many thanks to Nike and the park shapers at Stranda for taking care of us, and a big get well soon to Greg of Friday Productions who nearly lost his thumb in a paragliding accident.
